Our experienced team offer a full range of pre-press operations including:

• Design: We can follow your house style rigorously or suggest suitable new designs for pages or covers
• Page makeup: 4word staff have extensive experience of making up pages in a wide range of formats
• Data coding: SGML and XML coding is available
• Scanning illustrations: We can digitize, crop, size, modify or enhance your illustrations
• Jacket and cover design: 4word produces straight-forward designs in-house at very competitive prices. If more complex layouts are required we can place the work with our associated graphic designers
• Scanning text: Resurrect old editions, long since out of print, by getting 4word to scan the pages from a printed copy and making new print-ready files
• Archiving: We can return files to you, complete with scans, in the media of your choice.

Additionally, once the pre-press process is complete, you can rely on us to place the work with our tried and tested manufacturing partners with whom we have close working associations. In essence, you can trust us to manage your publications through the entire production process.
